Persons born abroad (consular birth certificate – M121)
Eligibility
This application can be submitted by individuals born abroad after 16 August 1960, whose at least one parent was a Cypriot citizen at the time of their birth or was entitled to acquire Cypriot citizenship by registration due to Cypriot origin.
Application Process
Submit the application along with the supporting documents to the District Office.
After approval, a citizenship certificate will be issued.
After acquiring Cypriot citizenship, the applicant may submit a request for an identity card and passport.
Supporting documents:
Marriage certificate of the parents.
Passport of the applicant and their parents.
Birth certificate of the applicant.
Registration certificate of the Cypriot parent.
Copy of receipt for application fee.
