Eligibility

This application can be submitted for minors whose parents acquired Cypriot citizenship after the birth of the minor applicant, either through registration (due to Cypriot origin) or naturalization (due to years of legal residence in Cyprus).

Application Process

Submit the application in two copies with the supporting documents to the District Office.

The application must be signed by the applicant and a registrar of the Cypriot court.

After acquiring Cypriot citizenship, the applicant may submit a request for an identity card and passport.

Supporting documents:

Marriage certificate of the parents.

Passport of the applicant.

Birth certificate of the applicant (apostilled).

Copy of the registration of the parent in Cyprus.

Passports of the parents.

Two passport-size photographs.

Written declaration from the parent, made in front of a registrar of the court, giving consent for the minor to receive Cypriot citizenship.
